Zostaje tylko serce

|

ZOSTAJE TYLKO SERCE
na śródmieściu trwa, gdy idę do siebie,
dziwny marsz: powietrze czuć mięsem,
płuca pompują dym w tysiąc nóg na obwodzie
– ciężki ruch, kiedy wszystko takie lepkie.
a chwilę temu to wzbierało jak krew
i rzeźbiło wyrwy w terenie;
WHAT’S LEFT IS THE HEART
downtown, when I’m going home,
there’ a strange march: the air smells of meat,
lungs pump smoke into a thousand legs on the perimeter
˗ heavy motion, when everything’s so sticky.
and a moment ago it was welling up like blood
and carving holes in the surface;
it was wriggling like a tongue, shaking like hands
and misleading like hearing. but now what’s left
is the heart.

SPOSÓB UŻYCIA
Łyżka nie będzie karmić już więcej
Młotek wystąpi przeciwko ręce
Szyby na ulicach wybiją się same
Pisma przestaną dochodzić, przestaną
A prąd nabędzie świadomość i popłynie odwrotnie
Prąd nabędzie świadomość i popłynie odwrotnie
Ekrany zaczną emitować szum przeciwko innym ekranom
Alkohol przestanie działać, ale kościoły też
Praca ustąpi walce, a polityka drukarkom 3D
Samoloty z banknotów uderzą o wieże z monet
Wszystko stanie na moment
A prąd nabędzie świadomość i popłynie odwrotnie
Prąd nabędzie świadomość i popłynie odwrotnie
Wysokie płoty będą jak pomnik
naszego spokoju i naszej wojny
Wysokie płoty będą jak pomnik
naszego spokoju i naszej wojny
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
The spoon will feed no more
The hammer will go against the hand
Windows that go out to the streets will shatter
Letters will stop coming, they will stop
And the current will acquire consciousness
and it will flow the other way
Screens will begin to emit noise against other screens
Alcohol will intoxicate no more, but nor will the churches
Work will give way to struggle, politics to 3D printers
Planes made of banknotes will hit towers of coins
Everything will stand still for a sec
And the current will acquire consciousness
and it will flow the other way
High fences will be like the monument
of our peace and our war
High fences will be like the monument
of our peace and our war

TV Trwaj
02:55
|

TELEWIZJO TRWAJ
ważna dostawa, trzeba czuwać do rana.
dzisiaj w mocnych dawkach telewizja i kawa.
w porcie mało światła i kręcą się jacyś...
a lepiej nie zadzierać z tymi kontrahentami.
kontener dotarł prawie o północy.
rano go odbiorą ludzie prostokąty.
tymczasem w tiwi rząd się rozprawia z lewactwem;
a kontener pusty stoi!
i nagle strach – co teraz?
choć może dobrze – przecież widziałeś tych ludzi!
i w obudzonym stróżu portu stróż porządku się budzi.
przecież to mogła być broń albo śmiercionośny kwas!
jacyś bandyci zatruwaliby tym nas!
albo diamenty zrabowane w Kongu, kontrabanda rzadkich niezaszczepionych małp,
albo inne podstępy z zachodu – więc dobrze! Kolejne zagrożenie zdławione!
jesteś taka piękna!
telewizjo trwaj, telewizjo trwaj
historia rusza z miejsca
albo idzie spać.
jesteś taka piękna!
telewizjo trwaj, telewizjo trwaj
historia rusza z miejsca
KEEP GOING TV
important delivery, must stay awake till dawn.
tv and coffee in strong doses today.
there’s little light in the harbour and there are some kind of...
well, you’d better not mess with those lads.
the container checked in just before midnight.
they’ll pick it up in the morning, those rectangular people.
meanwhile, the government takes on the leftists:
some heads will roll and maybe the guard won’t fall asleep.
it went on and on and there was no end to it.
you can waste a night on such things!
only head bows down with weariness and emotion.
and the container is empty!
and then suddenly the fear ˗ what now?
but maybe it’s better this way ˗ after all, you’ve seen those people!
and inside the awakened port keeper a warden wakes up.
it could have been a weapon or some deadly acid!
some criminals could poison us with it!
or diamonds robbed in Congo, contraband of rare, unvaccinated monkeys...
or any other ploy from the west ˗ so be it! another threat defused!
you are so beautiful!
keep going tv, keep going tv
the story kicks off or falls asleep
you are so beautiful!
keep going tv, keep going tv
the story kicks off or falls asleep
keep going tv, keep going tv
it’s a little bit scary though to stand alone in an empty container.
I think it’s time to prepare a new plan for life.
the job wasn’t too bad – but the money was.
anyway, it’s time to hide somewhere.
an important delivery, just bad timing.
in puddles, some empty 100-inch
screen boxes lying around.
the ex-warden is counting inches so he can sleep again.

OSTROŻNIE
Co ma być
Balon rośnie, aż strach
Kolejki różnic
Wszystkie dosłowne
Walka na tła
Blaza bezbarwna jak gaz
niedobra mantra
trochę męcząca ta gra
którędy plaża
Ostrożnie z tym gapieniem się w ogień
Raz dwa
wpadła bomba i śpi
może mapa i plansza
a może prąd i dryf
Niemy tył
I dużo zmian w rytmie
Ucho – świat
Coraz więcej pasm
Ostrożnie z tym gapieniem się w ogień
mapa plansza prąd dryf
szum kształt oko głos
ruch plan błysk tło
mapa gra dryf prąd
ucho plansza prąd dryf
szum świat oko głos
rytm plan błysk tło
mapa gra dryf strach
CAREFULLY
What now
The balloon’s growing much too far
Queues of differences
all literal
backgrounds at war
blahs colourless as gas,
poor, mean mantra
it’s a bit tiring, this game,
which way to the beach
Careful with that gaze into the fire
One-two
a bomb fell and it’s asleep
maybe a map and a gameboard
or maybe current and drift
Muted backdrop
shifting rhythm
The ear – the world
More and more frequencies
Careful with that gaze into the fire
map gameboard current drift
noise shape eye voice
movement plan flash background
map game drift current
ear gameboard current drift
noise world eye voice
rhythm plan flash background
map game drift fear

Hologram

HOLOGRAM
tu obok biegnie wielu podobnych do siebie
THE HOLOGRAM
there’s smooth plastic, there’s glass, there’s hard surface
and underneath the soft bottom that I bump into
images first, words beneath them
plenty of people to divide; there are tools for it: an unknown result
I see and I don’t know how to say it
I want to fall asleep, wake up at some better time
I want to strike without a blow, hear not what I scream,
leave behind a hologram of a man running in the night
there’s a spiderweb, a network of stains, a broken screen
if it’s the end, it’s delayed
something’s still rattling and doesn’t stick
plenty of people to divide; there are tools for it: image works like a stick
a lot of similar people running alongside
they won’t fall asleep and wake up at some better time
to strike without a blow – this is uspeakable
it’s time to destroy as much as possible and see what happens

facet powiedział: wie pan, to taka sprawa,
że bez różnicy, żadnej różnicy:
my wszyscy musimy tam być!
Bo to wspólna sprawa i wszyscy musimy tam być.
I to samo mówi radio głosem z notowań giełdowych:
i postanowimy zostać.
No to w drogę!
Bo to wspólna sprawa i wszyscy musimy tam być.
Światowy dzień przyjaźni pozaziemskiej.
Mają być wszyscy, więc skąd zaskoczenie,
że to faszyści niosą zielone flagi,
i krzyczą: ziemi nie oddamy!
A chuj z nimi, niech się przyjaźnią sami,
niech się owiną zielonymi flagami,
a telewizja niech ich krzyki wyśle w kosmos;
stąd ziemia i tak jest raczej czarna
z prześwitami błękitu, i widać jak stoimy rozrzuceni
po czarnej ziemi, kobiety, zwierzęta, mężczyźni, dzieci,
każdy ma na twarzy wczorajsze plany,
a w rękach różnie: narzędzia kuchenne, buty na zmianę,
nożyce do cięcia, umowy najmu,
THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL FRIENDSHIP DAY
The extraterrestrial friendship worldwide day.
I read about it, I was standing in the queue today
when I saw poster, I asked what it was, and I got a certificate
and an invitation all in one, I was surprised, but
the guy said, You know, in this case
there is no difference, no difference at all:
We all have to be there!
Because it’s the common cause and we all have to be there.
And so is the radio saying with stock market kind of voice:
This is a global day!
And it thinks aloud: should we mobilize all over the world
snow cannons or water cannons?
White everything out or erect a gigantic rainbow?
Only the rainbow means controversy,
while in the winter everything looks better,
and it’s easier to get rid of us, blur us, make us smaller,
for the benefit of the background,
before we take everything too literally,
before we get too comfortable
and we decide to stay.
So let’s go!
Because it’s the common cause and we all have to be there.
The extraterrestrial friendship day.
Everyone’s expected to be here, so what’s so surprising about
the fascists carrying green flags,
shouting: “We’re not giving up the land”!
Fuck them, let them be friends with themselves only,
let them wrap themselves in green flags,
and let TV send their screams into space;
from here the earth is rather black anyway
with blue clearances, and you can see how we stand scattered on
the black earth – women, animals, men, children,
everyone’s got yesterday’s plans on their faces,
and in their hands, assorted: kitchen utensils, shoes for change,
cutters, lease agreements,
life bills, wishlists...
and those are our IDs,
those are the flags, we don’t need any others,
just concrete, sand, air, some crap ˗
it all revolves around each other,
there’s not much to distinguish here,
from afar, all you can see is a thick vortex:
and we all have to be there!
Because it’s the common cause and we all must be there.

HOTEL MIDAS
Hotel Midas
najdłuższy możliwy korytarz
samo światło bez źródła, on sam
mozaika jak wydruk i bilans
po drugiej stronie strat
Hotel Midas
ten ruch to taniec i praca
pallad, brom, złoto, osm, ja, ołów, rtęć, nikiel, kadm, ty
korytarz błyszczy jak blister
mozaika rośnie metabolicznie
to Hotel Midas
Hotel Midas
blask oślepia, nie widać,
że pod brukiem jest plaża
prowadzi do niej zsyp
ten ruch to praca i taniec
i właśnie to się dzieje z nami
pod brukiem jest plaża
prowadzi do niej zsyp
pallad, brom, złoto, osm, JA, ołów, rtęć, nikiel, kadm, TY
pod brukiem jest plaża
prowadzi do niej zsyp
pallad, brom, złoto, osm, JA, ołów, rtęć, nikiel, kadm, TY
MIDAS HOTEL
Midas Hotel
the longest corridor ever
glow without a source, the thing itself
mosaic like a printout and the balance sheet
with inverted liabilities
Midas Hotel
this commotion is from dance and labour
palladium, bromine, gold, osmium, me, lead, mercury, nickel, cadmium, you
the corridor shines like a blister
the mosaic grows metabolically
this is the Midas Hotel
Midas Hotel
the glow is blinding, so you don’t notice
the beach under the pavement
the chute leading to it
this commotion is from dance and labour
and that’s what’s happening to us
the beach under the pavement
the chute leading to it
palladium, bromine, gold, osmium, me, lead, mercury, nickel, cadmium, you
the beach under the pavement
the chute leading to it
palladium, bromine, gold, osmium, me, lead, mercury, nickel, cadmium, you
